Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Emily Might Have "The Gene"

Emily Might Have "The Gene"

While both girls love animals ... little Emily may have infact inherited my crazy, mixed up idea that the grosser the animal ... all the better to welcome them into one's home. Last week, perhaps the stinkiest, most scabby, most emaciated, hairless, coughing, gooey eyed dog came home to live out what time he has left with us. To top it all off, he has tremendous difficulty walking and truly doesn't even look like the German Shepherd that he is. He was homeless and was in desperate need of some love ... and that is exactly what he's getting as little Emily has taken him under her wing and she is in love. She doesn't care one bit about his terrible physical appearance and is eager to help take care of him every chance she gets! The girls affectionately named him Gus Jack (after the two mice in Cinderella). And while we don't know how long Gus Jack has with us ... he has likely received more love and admiration from little Emily than he has in his whole life.

Last night while Mommy was at work, this happened :) Let me tell you, this was no simple task ... but the girls (and Daddy!) did a great job and Mr. Gus Jack, as always, was a patient gentleman.
